How to order
No matter which method used to place an order, please remember to send a copy of your artwork. When submitting artwork electronically, please read the section"Submitting Digital Artwork", located below.
CALL
We accept MasterCard, Visa, Check or Money Order (payable to Oliver Specialties, Inc.). In addition, credit is extended to Dun and Bradstreet rated businesses and qualified previous customers. Please remember to make arrangements to send us, by mail or e-mail, a copy of your artwork, if required. Call toll free 1-800-290-0595. Telephone ordering hours: Weekdays 9am-4:30pm (Eastern Time).
MAIL
Begin by printing out a copy of the order form. Then complete the form and mail to: Oliver Specialties, P.O. Box 2259, Traverse City, MI 49685. Please remember to include a copy of your camera ready artwork.
E-MAIL
Use our contact form to email your order. Include in your message the desired product name, part number, quantity and a phone number where we can reach you. We will call you back to complete the order.
FAX
Print out a copy of the order form. Next, complete the form and fax it to 1-231-941-1766 (24/7). In addition, please remember to send us, by mail or e-mail, a copy of your artwork, if required.
General Ordering Information
SUBMITTING DIGITAL ARTWORK (Return to top)
To help avoid errors and streamline the ordering process, please use the following guidelines when submitting artwork. Images used for websites are not suitable for artwork. Always retain a copy of your files to protect against loss or damage.
Acceptable File Formats (in order of preference)
- Adobe Illustrator (ai or eps)
- Adobe PhotoShop (psd)
- Encapsulated Postscript (eps)
- TIFF bitmap (tif) (600 DPI or greater)
- Windows bitmap (bmp) (600 DPI or greater)
- JPG Bitmap (jpg) (600 DPI or greater)
- GIF (gif) images are not accepted.
Sending Artwork by Disk Accepted disk formats include 3 1/2" floppy disks (IBM format only), and CD-R disks. Mail to: Oliver Specialties, Inc., P.O. Box 2259, Traverse City, MI 49685. When we are finished, we will gladly return your disk.
Sending Artwork by E-mail Send to artwork@oliverspecialties.com. If possible, please limit file sizes to eight megabytes or less. In addition, please fax a copy of your artwork to 231-941-1766 so we can confirm your e-mail submission.
PRICING
Except where otherwise noted, prices include your custom design in one standard color, imprinted in one imprint area. Set-up charges, screens, etc. are noted in the description of each item. If art is not camera-ready, touchup or sizing may be required at an extra charge. Call our office for verification. Prices are subject to change without notice.
PAYMENT TERMS
Terms are net 30 days from date of invoice to credit approved accounts. A 1-1/2% per month finance charge is added to all past due balances. Credit is extended to qualified D&B rated businesses and qualified previous customers.
PRODUCTION TIME
Normal production time is approximately four weeks. Rush service is available on most items. Please call our office for details and applicable charges. If items are for a special event, please specify the date required on the order form.
MINIMUM ORDERS
Less than minimum orders are available for most products, and is usually one-half the lowest quantity shown. Call our office for additional charges.
OVERRUNS/UNDERRUNS
We try to produce your order in the quantity specified, but we reserve the right to ship and bill up to 5% over or under the desired quantity.
SHIPPING
All orders will be shipped F.O.B. factory in the most economical method unless otherwise instructed. Shipping will be prepaid and added to your invoice.
CANCELED ORDERS
Since these items are custom-imprinted for you and only you, orders cannot be canceled once entered into production. In the case of an emergency cancellation, you will be billed for all charges incurred up to the date of cancellation.
SAMPLES
We understand the need to see some samples. However, due to the demand for samples, you will be charged for the sample and shipping, and a handling charge of $10.00 per item.
When you place an order for the item within 30 days of receiving the sample, a credit for the sample and the handling charge will be applied to your order.
Samples are provided with random imprints, and are not returnable.
"SPEC" SAMPLES (Return to top)
What is a "spec" sample? It is a "speculative" sample ... one which can be provided with your custom imprint and in your chosen color.
Sometimes, it is hard to visualize how your specialty item will look when finished. And sometimes a paper proof just doesn't represent it well. Rather than order several hundred items and be disappointed, for a small charge up front, we can imprint the item in which you are interested and send it to you. The spec sample charge will be applied to your order, even if you change the imprint size, color, etc.
Call for details at 1-800-290-0595, or email us. Let us know the item you want, the color imprint, and send us your camera-ready logo or email it to us (see our requirements for emailed art).
Since a spec sample takes as long as an actual order for several hundred pieces (approximately 10-21 working days), this service can only be offered on non-rush, non-deadline orders.
YOUR IMPRINT
Please send appropriately sized camera-ready artwork with your order. Camera-ready artwork is any professionally prepared, black and white rendering of your logo, line art or copy. Photocopies or FAX transmissions are not considered camera-ready artwork.
PLEASE NOTE THAT, DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL, ACTUAL PRODUCT MAY DIFFER VERY SLIGHTLY FROM THAT SHOWN IN THE ONLINE CATALOG. For example, the color of the item may look slightly darker or lighter than the actual color.
